Float On

Hey, guys. I’m sorry I haven’t been around too much. I don’t get to use the internet much. I’ve also been at a camp in Wisconsin for the last week.

I’m not going to be at the float trip for sure. We have a reception in Mississippi that weekend, school the next week, and I can’t spare the time or money. Sorry.

Have fun without me…just not quite as much.

1 peter 1:

13Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Float Trip

If you’re gonna do the float trip on the 6th and 7th (i.e. next weekend) I have to know by tomorrow probably. But yes, I suppose I am up for it…ya losers.

yowza

i set a new speed record on the bike….65mph…as close as i can figure with no speedo. 6500rpm in high gear. redlines at 9500.

i talked to vanita…she said drew could maybe make the float trip if we went the week prior to the one we’ve discussed. would that week work for anyone? AUG. 6-7?

jimmah wants to get a big raft and just chill…i’m down with that.

walk the line

goodness gracious i cannot wait until this movie comes out.

This is James posting from Jacobs name, now Lindsay knows the password.
thanks

the wooden iPod

Check out this wooden iPod, crafted by ZapWizard from Austin, TX. He made an exact replica of the 4th genereation iPod faceplate, click wheel and select button out of African Padauk wood, using nothing but a dremel. Quite amazing, if I do say so myself.

reposting what was said in july 6 comments:

How about Aug. 12th-13th for the float? Anybody still interrested? I am just throwing out a date.

I’m HOPING that I’ll be able to join by then. Leo, what if your sister goes into labor while we’re floating? You’re gonna have to do some crazy canoing then…

well…james wright was at my house last night…it’s always really, sort of awkward when he comes to stay for a tournament. cuz i literally see him for 5 minutes. it was good to see you, though, man.

went swimming at the clinton lake beach yesterday. that was awesome…my glasses fell off and sank to the bottom…and mark was able to fish them up with his toes…amazing.

earnhardt: #3 on the tracks, but #1 in our hearts.

halo on top.

my parents and i have all found an addiction that we can all take part in the the name of…. family time?

it’s the banana cream pie blizzard at dq.

sweet georgia brown. this thing is amazing.

it’s got real bananas. that’s right. REAL.

and pie crusts pieces.

and banana/vanilla ice cream.

and then some whipped cream, but who cares about that crap. it’s just filler anyways.

go eat one. it’ll change your life forever.
i swear.

gobble that chicken and wrangle them carts

not that it’s of any importance, but over the past week or so, I’ve eaten tons of chicken without realizing it. here are all the chicken items I’ve had, and the number of meals:

General Tso’s Chicken (2)
Orange Chicken (3)
Buffalo Chicken Pizza (1)
Chicken Flavored Ice Cream (2)
Sesame Chicken (2)
Chicken Fajita (2)

One of the items above does not belong. Can you guess which one?

by the way, if things go as planned there will soon be a club of Cart Wranglers, inspired by the Walmart-special shirt ($5.83+tax). The shirt features the words “Cart Wrangler”, and a shopping cart, and the slogan “Herding the silver buffalo.” A few people i know already have one, and my wife just got mine, but i have yet to see it.

If the shirt is as interesting as it sounds, i’ll post pictures.

update - here is what’s on the shirt:

i’m not sure why this amuses me so much.

the circle’s been broken

ryan, man that’s awesome. we’ve been posting on the comments of the july 6th post…trying to keep it going in there for as long as we could.

i got some new parts on my bike…i put a “new” fender and new handlebars on the past two days…it’s not shined up in those pics or anything…but it’s awesome to ride. check it out!
