my mom told me about this tonight on the phone. way to go, hometown boy!
Heyy, the article didn’t mention who set up your first interview with Gus Wagner!
That’s all very cool. Congratulations!
favorite quotes:
Wagner on Leo: “Leo is our rock.”
Leo on Exus: “It didn’t work.”
by the way, this reminds me of the Sligo news. Sligo is where I lived for several years in Missouri. Once upon a time I think it even had a post office, but now I think map-makers debate on whether to include it or not.
anyway, the Sligo news consisted of the personal goings-on of the local townsfolk as told by an older guy. most of these people attended the only church in the area where I suspect a lot of the stories about the most trivial things were gathered. An Example:
“Ed took the truck to town and bought a rooster, so he could start hatching chicks again. Looking forward to some more of his chicken meat at the next potluck, but we all know the guy does not need any more birds — his peacock is too noisy as it is, getting all the dogs riled up every morning. Virginia keeps joking around that we will be eating peacock at the next potluck!”
It’s really cool, but they might have made you sound a little gay…
“Kempf, who currently resides in Kansas City, and his friend and partner, Jon Crawford, are partners of their own company, Deepthought Design.”
I guess they did mention your wife Rachel, nee Snyder.
For some reason, Randy’s response reminds me of “Funny Farm.”
Small-town people are creepy.
