Vifl is going to have 2 events a year folks. One in the summer (float trip, dudes only) and one in the winter (cabin in the woods? ladies allowed too)
Let’s start planning this thing now.
Daniel would like us to plan it for sometime between December 13th to the New Year. I was thinking we spend at least 2 nights in a cabin (Friday evening to Sunday evening).
I think we should keep the first attempt at it to something close to us just to make sure we enjoy it before we go spending $1,000 on a weekend in Colorado or something. Unless that’s what you guys would prefer to do.
I found a cabin in Missouri on the Black River (2 hours from STL) that is only $150 a night but it only has room for 8 people to sleep there so that’s not big enough.
Opinions? Thoughts? Rants?

Ladies allowed? Interesting…let me know the details. I may or may not come. You know how I am when I am aggressively single in comparison with people around me.
By that I mean..don’t make out around me.
Making out around anyone is a douchebag move no matter whether they are single or not.
winter is a slow time for me business wise. I’d like to but I’d doubt we could make it. Keep us informed though. You never know where I’ll be around that time.
yeah…you all just schedule something and I’ll make it if I can. The weekends aren’t good for me when I’m back. But weekdays are bad for ya’ll. Sorry.
We’ll depending on how many ladies we got. we could get 2 cabins. 1 for the ladies and the other for the guys.
If we ever do want to go to Colorado, my uncle has a house in Veil (or some ski town like it). Sleeps 14. Comes with a Subaru, last I heard. $500 for as long as we want to stay. They won’t let you guys go without me, though.
Next year, they will be finished with their house in Florida, too. I think it’s 4 or 5 bedrooms. We’ll see.
The trick is getting me to find time…
OOOHHH! SNOW!
i’m liking the sound of drew’s colorado setup.
veil would be nice as long as we can afford to do anything. It’ll be 12 dollar mcdonalds. Wee
I am up for anything. The Colorado thing is cool with me. Lets just start planing it now and then we can all get off and make the plans.
If it’s the weekend of the 20th, I can’t do it…that’s Lindsay’s wedding. And, the next weekend is Christmas. I may be home the next weekend…I dunno though.
Whoa there, Kiddies. Remember: I didn’t go on the float because I have taken too much vacation this year, and I would have to go with you to the house. Colorado is a pretty big trip (especially for anyone with kids).
I vote we try something Pierre Marquette-ish for a year or two, then get all stirred up and go to CO.
I found this website… has vacation rentals that sleep up to 20 people…

Click on an area, then it’ll list all the places.
