I’m thinking of hiring a PI of my own to track him down. Anyone seen or heard from this guy in 2010? I’ve emailed him and called him multiple times….with nothing.

…and to ya’ll a good night.
We’re in Washington through the 27th. Who’s next on the reunion?
Way Basics is a semi-finalist in Inc. Magazine’s Newpreneur of the Year Competition. We need your votes to become a finalist.
Thank you to those of you who have already voted, and please vote again every day this week if you can. (you may need to delete cookies… I don’t think their system is working correctly yet)
If you haven’t voted… please do! http://www.inc.com/newpreneur/vote.html
If you didn’t see it on facebook… Henry Grey Kempf was born Sept 5 here at the cabin. Woot.
Guys, we’re having a contest at way basics - I believe it ends this friday. All you have to do is send in a photo of you in your messy room to talktous@waybasics.com and you could win a $250 shopping spree at waybasics.com.
There aren’t many entries yet - so you have a good chance of winning. The photos are judged by fans on our facebook page next week. I’d like to see you guys get creative and win some furniture! Get creative…involve your kids…

We’re living about 12 miles outside of Mountain View, Arkansas. It’s known as the folk music capital of the world. It’s a nifty place and we like it. The awesome cabin, 50-some acres, and big creek are Rachel’s parent’s retirement property. We’re not sure how long we’ll be here, but possibly another year. We have no plans following that. We currently have 3 cats and 6 chickens.
We’re expecting our first child in 4-8 weeks. We have a midwife and, as things progress normally, will be having the baby here at our home. We’re taking an 8 week Bradley birthing class in Little Rock (2 hr drive) - which is exceptionally insightful. It’s basically a natural, husband-coached birthing method. Baby boy or girl? - we’re being surprised.
I’m still working from home doing design work for Way Basics, The Rocket Group, various freelance clients, and my own stuff. I sent my first piece, Conversation Table, to a gallery in Chicago this year. It hasn’t sold yet, but the gallery owner is confident. I’m also sending one to the first US sustainable design show house in Washington, DC this fall.
Daily, we drive an 01 VW Golf or a 91 S-10. We also have a 72 VW Superbeetle that’s been in the shop all year getting an engine overhaul - hopefully we’ll have it soon. I’m also getting my 75 CB550 running/driving… hopefully will be cruising on it soon.
Other highlights of 2009 - we witnessed our cat have 8 kittens, we survived without A/C, electricity, and water for extended periods of time, celebrated Jacob’s wedding on the beach, designed and built a chicken coop and a changing table, built a bridge.

what are your thoughts on giving? tithe? charities? how/where/why do you give?
The Caveman BBQ went out of business (a real shocker), but it’s been remodeled and reopens on the 27th. We’re taking Jacob there and you should come! You don’t want to miss this! One week from tomorrow!
Plus, it seems Randy might show up.
I talked to Randy on the phone this week, because he was pushing some php code around for a project I was finishing up. Turns out, he’s going to be in town in May - we thought it’d be neat to have an eXus Reunion… maybe just a dinner or something. Discuss!
this is pretty cool. how do you guys fare? http://www.NoiseAddicts.com/2009/03/can-you-hear-this-hearing-test/
