missed all you guys that couldn’t make it!
the stencil i’m making will make shirts like this. bring a shirt or something.
it might be different if this design proves too difficult to make a stencil of.

4 canoes and 1 kayak. $40 per person. (canoes) The kayak costs $50.
and I have us down for a 22 mile float…which is only supposed to take 6-8 hours. So, should be VERY leisurely. We can always change that when we get there.
this is the website of the place: http://www.current-river.com/
so, where are we gathering in the washington area? spending the night somewhere the night before?
here is my recommendation on food. We buy community food (dogs, brats, condiments, water, buns) then you’re responsible for bringing whatever else you want to eat or drink. The community food split 9 ways should be very reasonable.
I can bring a pretty big cooler.
Also, you should bring a shirt like last year…i’ll work on the stencil.
We’re acting like the days are set? Several of you have said “maybe”. Also, Jacob’s already going to be down here with me for the trip, but if there are only going to be like 4 people on the buffalo river trip….let’s freaking change the plans. Location, time… whatever. This is probably the only time I’ll see most of you this year…
Let’s get on this! Real quick like.
I started a facebook event… here.

introducing butch, the yamaha moto4 250, and the honda 185s atc we affectionately call terry.
frog and i tore these up on independence day.

so, i’ve been working with a company in california on this paper based furniture line…site’s just launched…check it out: http://www.waybasics.com/
i sold my motorcycle for 900 more than i paid for it today. i’m looking to replace it…here’s what I’m looking at:
1. buy Rachel’s dad’s mid 80’s bmw (800cc i think) for an unheard of low price and take the fairing and bags off of it and put lower bars on it.
2. buy a mid 80’s honda BIG RED 3 wheeler (for old time’s sake) to ride around out here on the acreage..
I’m leaning toward option 2.
Ok….I’ll just start with the planning, then the dissension can begin. This is my proposal:
Getting people to Harrison Arkansas for a Saturday, August 23 morning boating departure…
1. People can either drive down Saturday morning - pretty early….it’s probably about a 4 hr. drive from Washington.
2. People can drive to Mountain View Friday night. It’s a few minutes longer drive to Mountain View, then we could head over to Harrison in the morning….
So, we’ll float Saturday, camp on the river, then float a bit more Sunday.
Then, people can either drive back on Sunday afternoon/evening or head back to mountain view and drive back Monday.
So, reply to this post with ideas and who’s coming. I’ll be locating the “outfitter” to get the canoes soon.

We’re watching the indiana jones movies on the 21st in basically our own private theater in downtown KC and then going to the theater at midnight to watch the new one.
You’re all invited….right now it’s probably me, my rachel, jacob, jacob’s rachel, aaron mitchell snyder, lillian kempf and a handful of friends from KC.
Let me know if you want to come!
we moved the first load of stuff down to arkansas this past weekend… follow this link for some photos. but, i’ve been hearing alot about “floating the buffalo” which is supposed to be an excellent river to float…it’s in arkansas…we crossed over it and saw a bunch of the canoe rental places, etc. on our journey. It looks freaking amazing…. actually the drive down to mountain view is basically everything that’s beautiful about missouri, but with mountains and a milder climate. I would LOVE to float this river sometime. Of course, I’d be happy with whatever, but I am itching a little to explore some new terrain. This one’s around harrison, arkansas and is close to where we’re moving, so we could chill there a night to rest as well if need be.
Here’s some information.

No offense to anyone who suffers…I just have always found his commercials a bit comical for some reason.
