…because i’m working on the next pane.
update:
still trying to think of a better phrase. or perhaps a logo. i was thinking about making this an homage to vanilla pepsi.

my condolences to the guy who has the next panel and tries to make a seamless transition.
update
didn’t like the colors when i saw them on a regular monitor (instead of my laptop). so i updated the panel colors.

We really need a page to keep track of the worm. I divided all the images up, so the next artist can just download what he needs. The worm featured above has the original 2 images that were left out.
leo, maybe the worm page could move to VIFL, but i don’t mind managing it on SAW.
daniel, i put ohio on the end!
if someone wants to redo theirs, they could just post it on VIFL, and i’ll update the worm. someone(s) ended up with an image wider than 400 pixels, so i just took the best 400×400 pixels i could for each image.
the worm makes me smile. if someone else wants to go again, go for it.

I took a stab at it.

I also added the earlier pictures that no one else did.

Is that cool? Has anyone else started on anything?

first of all…stop posting cute children….if you don’t then this place will degrede into a level of cuteness unforseen!
also…next panel.

I figured since I can’t seem to make my images crisp…well…then I just won’t try (if someone wanted to make my lines a tad more crisp that would be fine)
Anywho…it’s simple but I like it. I like my “canvas painting” and I think it is definitely “whimsical”…plus I even left a blank edge for the next panel cause those hard edges (or even worse those shapes LEO are hard to work off of).
Daniel, something else I’m learning from image editting…use alot of layers. Each new object should be a new layer until you know you’re done messing with it.

i’ll do the third panel, and post the update on THIS very post. i imagined doing this like leo described too.
i suggest that after I’m done, if someone else wants to continue it, create a post to claim the next panel. like i’m doing right now.
Update:
i’m cool with keeping what was already done, but if you guys want to redo it, go for it. as panel #3:

by itself as panel #1:

by the way, before this post i never used the file upload feature in wordpress. its sweet.
Update:
Font used: Steelfish. Its free and easy to find online.

I think something more along the lines of this.

I just sort of continued things with the black.

I’ll start it off with my horribly constructed beginning.

image worms are leet. if you haven’t seen one, it’s when a bunch of graphic artists create a seamless mural of whatever. the worm starts with one artist creating an image, and after he is done, the second artist then creates an image that blends in to it. After all is done, the images are pieced together (from left to right).
here is an example:

I’m psyched. who wants to start? leo? how do 400×400 segments sound? and to do this, you don’t have to have the skills of a leo. just an interest in being cool.
